Digital Poodle – Work Terminal

This is the classic EBM / proto-rave monster club hit by legendary Canadian Industrial Music group DIGITAL POODLE. This video was shot and edited on super 8 mm film by DION CONFLICT in 1992, but the track was originally recorded in 1991 for the CFNY-FM compilation CD “Modern Rock”.
The track was also issued on Poodle’s debut 1991 CD “Soul Crush”, and later re-released in ’92 with Oli Rosche’s Hypnobeat/DOVe Germany imprint on the “Work Terminal” remix CD.

Yesterday night, the 4th of november 2006, saw the return of the giants of EBM (Electronic Body Music) – Nitzer Ebb – the masters of Industrial music.
They had a fabulous comeback at the Columbia Club over here in Berlin for their Body of Work tour accompanied by Terrence Fixmer who did one of his fabulous techno sets and Motor who rocked the house in their northern style. After Terrence and Motor had left stage it was time for the masters who electrified the audience from the first second. Douglas McCarthy moving across the stage constantly without a pause which let’s you get the impression that Nitzer Ebb are not finished yet and that we might have the chance to see fresh releases in the future.
I could go on talking for hours about this unique experience, about the macs they had on stage and about T.Raumschmiere in the audience – but you better see for yourself…
Warning: If you’re not used to this kind of music – better start at a low volume…

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Killers, Interpol, Editors, The Bravery, Bloc Party, MGMT, The Strokes, Placebo, Snow Patrol, Arctic Monkeys, Elefant, The Futureheads, Radiohead, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse, etc.
"Goth Rock to Darkwave (Synthpop)" music:
Clan of Xymox, She Wants Revenge, Bauhaus, Deine Lakaien, And One, The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, Covenant, Wolfsheim, Diary of Dreams, Depeche Mode, VNV Nation, Project Pitchfork, The Banshees etc.
(Two completely different styles of music)
Interpol and She Wants Revenge play totally separate (different) styles of music as I have listed.
The vocals in a few of She Wants Revenge’s songs sound similar. That’s it.
I think you already know the answer.
Black 6 – This Gentle Flow

Black 6 is a track from BLACK by Australian band THIS GENTLE FLOW. Black sees THIS GENTLE flow exploring new territory ranging from dark ambient to extreme noise. This is a follow up to the NO ART album and THIS CAGE E.P. A new recording is planned with the current line up and works is still being made on the performance piece ‘THE BOOK OF VILAH’ which melds together performance art, classical, middle eastern and gypsy style music.
