I need something new to listen to. What are some good goth music or rock bands out there?

I don’t care what it is. How outlandish. The crazier the better. I need an adrenaline high and I always succeeded at getting that by listening to rock music. I don’t care if its metal,j-rock. anything. Even if it has a horrible message behind it just suggest anything.

What bands discuss literature, particularly horror and science fiction?

I am mostly fond of gothic rock, death rock, horror punk, industrial, industrial metal, EBM, power metal, gothic metal, doom metal, prog metal, death metal, neo-classic metal and heavy metal. Yeah, quite a variety, but there is quite a dirth of literary music in my selection. Any suggestions?

Before I start, I just want to say that Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, Korn, and My Chemical Romance is not goth. So please do not reccomend them.
I listen to a lot of the old school goth music, like Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Cure, and Bauhaus (They are amazing bands, by the way). But I want to get into some of the more modern goth bands. So, can you please name me some?

I love gothic type music but sometimes it’s hard to find any that isn’t just people screaming. I would like to know artists and song names if possible.

I want to know more really good industrial bands. Some of my favorites are VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Switchblade Symphony, 45 Grave, Fear Cult, New Skin, Zeromancer. I know a lot of others, but can you give me some more really good ones to make sure I got the best ones around

I went for a band that’s loved but doesnt have much on youtube. only 1 official video and a handfull of unofficial fan-videos. Im talking aboud one of the best EBM bands: DANCE OR DIE there aren’t many official Dance or die videoclips. And there cd’s are hard to get. At least in Belgium. There are a few who create there own videos and so did I, with original footage. for all the “Dance or die” fans and people who know this band disurves more then you can find on youtube and the whole internet, the stores in Belgium and so on. variations on this video and are available soon, with new music by other great bands like “Kattoo” and “dj spooky vs. scanner”
