A film of my first trip to the industrial music festival in Bradford. There’s stuff here like Heimstatt Yipotash, De/Vision, Northern Kind, some riots going on in the city centre, Memmaker, Agonoize, Rotersand, getting lost in the halls complex, Concrete Lung, a gigantic naan bread, Patenbrigade: Wolff, Nachtmahr and Project Pitchfork. A note on including people’s faces in my ‘documentaries’: this is confusing, as some people complain when I cut them out, and others moan when they’re visible. Some have wanted me to make special preview versions of my films, so that they can approve it at home before I make it live (fakk orff). I don’t have legally trained PAs to help me, so in the last few months I’ve adopted this approach: I assumed people didn’t want to be filmed in close-up unless they actually told me so at the time, or unless they jumped in front of the camera.

After I watched X, it was like the series was begging me to make an AMV out of it. I ripped my DVDs and hopped to it, and this is the result. I opted not to use textures or special effects because I felt it would be too much combined with the beauty of the footage itself. There are pretty hefty spoilers, but I guarantee it’s nothing that would ruin the experience of watching it in the series should you choose to watch it.
