Can you name me some modern goth bands?
Before I start, I just want to say that Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, Korn, and My Chemical Romance is not goth. So please do not reccomend them.
I listen to a lot of the old school goth music, like Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Cure, and Bauhaus (They are amazing bands, by the way). But I want to get into some of the more modern goth bands. So, can you please name me some?
Thanks.

you could try;
Ashe
Cradle of Filth
Malice Mizer (album Bara no seidou especially)
Drowning Pool
Dir En Grey
Disturbed
Godsmack
Joydrop (song Beautiful)
Mudvayne
Papa Roach
Porcelain and the Tramps
Rod Zombie
also try the website vampirefreaks.com loads of awsome goth-industrial stuff
It all really depends on what you like and what you consider Goth music to be.
Personally, if your a goth and you like it, its goth music.

I can’t believe the answer above mine essentially did what you said not to do. It’s so annoying when people are so totally wrong on what goth music is, or do what that person did and say if a goth listens to it, it’s goth. That’s got to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Anyway, I’ll stop ranting now.
Anyway, here’s some more modern goth/deathrock and similar bands. I don’t think there’s anything that started before the ’90s, although that’s still not super new. Also, some of these bands have already broken up unfortunately. Sorry if you’ve heard of some of them already:
Cinema Strange
A Spectre is Haunting Europe
Bloody Dead and Sexy
Audra
Belisha
Deathcamp Project
Black Ice
Dead as Romance
Frank the Baptist
New Days Delay
The Phantom Limbs
Subtonix
The Vanishing
Eat Your Make Up
Murder at the Registry
Antiworld
Katzenjammer Kabarett
The Ghost of Lemora
Screaming Banshee Aircrew
Scarlet’s Remains
Killing Miranda
Deadchovsky
The Brides
All Gone Dead

I am an old school goth listener, so I don’t know any “new” goth bands…
But I just wanted to say, how refreshing it is to see a valid goth question… and not some kid asking how to be goth…
