Is this goth?
Okay, people always call my friend goth. She never calls herself goth, but I’m starting to think that maybe she is. Here is what she’s like:
-She sometimes wears black, but not all of the time. She likes black eyeliner but rarely wears it. In fact, she doesn’t really wear much makeup ever.
-In music, she likes rock, metal, darkwave, symphonic metal, alternative
-She loves drawing and writing. Her stories are sort of horror/romance, and her drawings are often realistic looking sketches that aren’t colored in
-She knows what goth is. As in, she knows they don’t always wear black, listen to metal, think about death, worship the devil, and all of that.
-She doesn’t really have a specific store she shops at, she just looks around at a bunch of different stores and buys what she likes from them. She never shops at hollister, abercrombie, hot topic (she calls that place mall goth), aeropostale, etc.
-Her personality is creative, reserved, shy but not a pushover, and artistic.
if your asking me to label her, then…
YES. she sounnds like a real goth and she seems to know what Mall Goths are.
yah, but the reason she doesn’t call herself a goth is becuase it’s a can label.
but don’t label her.

No she’s not goth, most ppl that r goth worship the devil or have other gods. Interesting question!!!

She could be. Being goth has more to do with a person’s worldview than clothing or anything like that, but she sounds like the kind of person that may be goth at heart. Either way, she sound like a good person, I can see why she’s your friend.

Unlike what some misinformed people are saying, goths aren’t satanic devil worshippers.
Metal music isn’t goth music, the closest you’ve listed could be darkwave.
This person has some of the qualities of a smart person, who could be identified in the goth subculture, but does it matter what people call her?

phoenix is wrong!!!!!!!! Goths don’t always wear black and no they don’t all worship satan or the devil. Ask her if she is goth. But I bet she is awesome to hang out with! =)
Also Goths are not bad people. I am a goth and I am nice. Lol. Most of the times. =)

she probably doesn’t want to be labeled goth because of the stereotypes (especially the ones you mentioned)
she just wants to be herself.
