she knows her stuff.
she probably doesn’t want to be labeled goth because of the stereotypes (especially the ones you mentioned)
she just wants to be herself.

phoenix is wrong!!!!!!!! Goths don’t always wear black and no they don’t all worship satan or the devil. Ask her if she is goth. But I bet she is awesome to hang out with! =)

Also Goths are not bad people. I am a goth and I am nice. Lol. Most of the times. =)

YES. she sounnds like a real goth and she seems to know what Mall Goths are.
yah, but the reason she doesn’t call herself a goth is becuase it’s a can label.

Unlike what some misinformed people are saying, goths aren’t satanic devil worshippers.
Metal music isn’t goth music, the closest you’ve listed could be darkwave.
This person has some of the qualities of a smart person, who could be identified in the goth subculture, but does it matter what people call her?

She could be. Being goth has more to do with a person's worldview than clothing or anything like that, but she sounds like the kind of person that may be goth at heart. Either way, she sound like a good person, I can see why she's your friend.
