i’ve beaten suikoden LOADS OF TIMES.
And i mean LOADS OF TIMES!!
i practically know the game by heart,only thing left for me is to get all characters,but there are some hidden guys i keep missing,so i cannot get the special ending without first maxing suikoden 1.

well, if you automatically know how to take out the final boss it wouldnt be much of a final boss thus there would be no fun factor in it.

Neclord can be a …
Neclord can be a bit of an too in suikoden 1.
Especially when he uses that wind attack that hits the whole group for nearly 200 dmg each person.
then again i never considered this game terribly dificult.
Sure the final boss can be tough at times because you have to know wich to target first,but that is part of the fun.

no kidding. luca’s 3 hits per turn makes things kinda challenging and close to insane. both the dragon and luca were fun bosses, the final boss on the other hand was a pain in the for me the first time I played through the game, rune kept regenerating.

What really hurts …
What really hurts is luca’s 3 turns in a row.
Sometimes he doesn’t give you time to heal up.

I just used Pahn …
I just used Pahn and Gremio’s talisman attack (note they were capped level) one hit made it easy to take out the dragon with melees xD

Brilliant music but …
Brilliant music but neclord in SII was a push over in comparison to what he was in SI. hen again storywise he was weakned by the removal of his rune. Not to mention some of his attacks were discrimanate to your characters(ie: the bat attack alaways attacked a female member) That worked against neclord and the difficulty of the game.

I didnt really have …
I didnt really have trouble with luca since most of my characters were in the 60’s as for the dragon, I messed up taking flick with me for the trip, at the time I didnt know the dragon was immune to lightning, luca only took half damage from magic whereas the dragon had immunities and resistances making the dragon if anything insane.
